Purchasing a “Sweets in the Suite” ticket gives a patron the best of three worlds: Soup Sunday, VIP Souper Party and the Sweets in the Suite chocolate and wine pairing featuring the talents of chocolatier Phillip Rix and mixologist Michael Hughes.

Native Memphian Phillip Rix, proprietor of Chocistry, is a masterful chocolatier who blends traditional chocolate with a wide array of fascinating flavors. Rix has spent years honing his craft – handmade, artisan chocolate prepared in small batches – to perfect what he calls his “mad science.”

Mixologist Michael Hughes is the general manager of Joe's Wines & Liquors, a food and wine writer for both the Memphis Flyer and Memphis Magazine, and the author of the blog Midtown Stomp. Michael successfully completed both a Sommelier Course & passed the Certified Sommelier Exam given by the Court of Master Sommeliers. His specialty is the wine regions of both Oregon and Washington.
